Abstract:
Input unit for a mobile phone, cordless phone or a portable computer comprises a display device and a navigation input unit that is connected to the display device. The navigation input unit comprises a button that can be tilted in four directions and used for character input. Of the four tilt direction two can be used to input commands, while the other two can be used for character selection. The invention also relates to a corresponding communications input unit.
