Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery arranged so that a valve is disposed on a sealing body for sealing an opening of a case main body, and enhanced in the ability to release gas from a bottom to suppress the rise in battery temperature.SOLUTION: A cylindrical nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 10 comprises: a bottomed cylindrical case main body 12 having an opening at one end and arranged to contain an electrode body 30; a sealing body 20 having valves 24, 26, and serving to sealing the opening of the case main body 12 at the one end; and a dielectric plate 40 disposed between the electrode body 30 and the sealing body 20. The electrode body 30 has a wound type structure formed by winding a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate with a separator put therebetween. A bottom 12b of the case main body 12 at the other end has: a valve part 12d; and a thin part 13 continuously or discontinuously surrounding the valve part 12d. The dielectric plate 40 has openings 40a, 40b, and at least partially covers one end of a hollow portion 36 formed at an inner end of the electrode body 30 in a winding direction thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
