Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of generating a high-quality image signal based on an image signal obtained by a first drive of reading out a pixel signal under the conditions of dividing an exit pupil from an image pick-up device and by a second drive of simultaneously reading out image signals from a pixel part of the image pick-up device.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus performs a first drive of reading out an image signal from each of a plurality of photoelectric conversion parts that receive light passing through different pupil regions in an imaging optical system, and a second driving of simultaneously reading out image signals from the plurality of photoelectric conversion parts. The imaging apparatus processes compensation on the luminous energy entering the photoelectric conversion part and on the linearity of brightness of an image signal with respect to the read-out image signal for each of the first drive and the second drive. The imaging apparatus adds the image signals having the compensated linearity and generates an image signal for recording.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
