Abstract:
To provide an intake manifold capable of suppressing a variation in the distribution of exhaust gas to intake pipes and of being suitably arranged in an engine compartment where a horizontally opposed engine is mounted.SOLUTION: An intake manifold 1 includes a surge tank 5, and left and right intake pipes 7a, 7b each connected at one end side to the surge tank and extending to both lateral sides of the surge tank. Ranging over the lower face side of the surge tank and the lower face sides of the left and right intake pipes, a gas distribution passage part 17 is provided for distributing exhaust gas to each of the left and right intake pipes. The gas distribution passage part is formed with an intake port 20 for the exhaust gas and a gas distribution passage 18 ranging to the intake port for the exhaust gas. In each of the left and right intake pipes, a communication hole 25 is formed to communicate the internal of the intake pipe with the gas distribution passage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
