Abstract:
To implement a merging function for XPS data 40 even when a printer vendor-specific port monitor cannot be set.SOLUTION: A printer driver 33 determines whether XPS data 40A and 40C should be taken as objects of merging or not, and a job merging module 35 stores therein the XPS data 40A and 40C which the printer driver 33 determines as objects of merging. The job merging module 35 generates, in response to depression of a print button in a merging UI, merged data 41 which results from merging of the XPS data 40A and 40C stored in the job merging module 35 and stores therein a flag indicating that it has been merged. The printer driver 33 transmits print data 42 resulting from PDL conversion of the merged data 41, to a first printer 3A through a communication unit 36.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
