Abstract:
To provide a conical roller bearing of high durability, capable of preventing damages such as wearing and galling of a large end surface of a conical roller and a large flange of an inner ring, which may occur from an initial period of use, by preventing edge contact of a recessed portion of the large end surface of the conical roller and the large flange surface of the inner ring.SOLUTION: A recessed portion 3b of a prescribed diameter is formed on a center of a large end surface 3a of a conical roller 3, a slide contact portion S with a large flange surface 2b is disposed on an annular region at an outer side with respect to the diameter, a chamfer portion 2d is formed on an intersection edge of the large flange surface 2b and a large flange outer peripheral surface 2c, and a smooth recessed surface 2e is formed on a boundary of the chamfer portion 2d and the large flange surface 2b. As an edge formed on the boundary of the chamfer portion 2d and the large flange surface 2b is eliminated, "edge contact" does not occur.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
