Abstract:
To provide a low profile multilayer ceramic electronic component capable of ensuring transverse intensity.SOLUTION: In a multilayer ceramic electronic component, a ceramic body has first and second principal surfaces directing a first axial direction, first and second end faces directing a second axial direction orthogonal to the first axial direction, a first internal electrode pulled out to the first end face, and a second internal electrode facing the first internal electrode and pulled out to the second end face. A first external electrode has a first coating part covering the first end face, and a first extension extending from the first coating part to the second end face. A second external electrode has a second coating part covering the second end face, and a second extension extending from the second coating part to the second end face. Assuming the thickness of the ceramic body is T, and the thickness of the first and second extensions is T, T+Tis 50 μm or less, and T/(T+T) is 0.32 or less, in the multilayer ceramic electronic component.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
