Abstract:
To provide an encoder with which it is possible to perform optimum delay correction, and a control system for the encoder.SOLUTION: An encoder pertaining to the present disclosure comprises a first receive unit for receiving a position information request signal for requesting the position information of a detection object, a position information generation unit for generating position information with a position information generation timing after a prescribed delay time from when the position information request signal is received, and a first transmit unit for transmitting the position information to the outside by serial communication, the first transmit unit transmitting position information generation timing information that represents the prescribed delay time at least once to the outside by serial communication.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
