Abstract:
To prevent lane departure and approach to another vehicle due to excessive operation intervention at the time of occurrence of communication failure during confluence support using road-to-vehicle communication.SOLUTION: A vehicle travel control device includes: a function for generating a target route with a predetermined range as a target to automatically change a vehicle lane to an adjacent vehicle lane when no other vehicle is recognized in a predetermined range of an adjacent lane by a surrounding recognition function; and a confluence support function for generating a target route by using other vehicle information acquired by a communication function to perform acceleration/deceleration control and steering control, resulting in automatic confluence into a confluent vehicle lane. A function is provided to change an override threshold value to be a criterion of operation intervention for stopping the acceleration/deceleration control and the steering control into a value larger than a normal time of the communication function when the communication function fails during the automatic confluence.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
