Abstract:
To inhibit a driver from feeling annoyed due to avoidance assist control.SOLUTION: A driving assist system (200) includes assist means (250) that implements avoidance assist control for avoiding collision of a vehicle with an object in the event that the object which should be avoided is present ahead of a vehicle (10), prediction means (230) that, when the object is present ahead of the vehicle, predicts based on a deceleration factor, which is present around the vehicle and is different from the object, that a manipulation of decelerating the vehicle is performed, and change means (240) that, when the decelerating manipulation is predicted to be performed, executes at least one of processing of making an assist quantity concerning avoidance assist control smaller compared with a case where the decelerating manipulation is not predicted to be performed, and processing of retarding the timing of initiating avoidance assist control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
