Abstract:
To facilitate the function expansion of an electronic control device after a vehicle is shipped.SOLUTION: A function expansion system 1 includes: an HCU 2 loaded on a vehicle; an expansion module 3; and a server 4. The HCU 2 transmits user information to the server 4 when connected to the expansion module 3 by data communication. The expansion module 3 transmits specification information to the server 4. The server 4 creates an application list on the basis of the user information and the specification information, and transmits the created application list. The expansion module 3 downloads a function expansion application program identified by the transmitted application information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
