Abstract:
To provide a vehicle control device capable of making a route where one's own vehicle actually travels through an automatic operation or the like identical to a guide route displayed on a display of a navigation device by providing every kind of information included in peripheral map information of the vehicle control device, to the navigation device.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device 1 that controls an automatic operation of a vehicle comprises: a steering control unit 18 for controlling a steering system of the vehicle; an acceleration/deceleration control unit 17 for controlling an acceleration/deceleration system of the vehicle; a peripheral map generation unit 11 for generating peripheral map information including a travel route of the vehicle based on information acquired by an external sensor; a peripheral map storage unit 12 for storing the peripheral map information generated by the peripheral map generation unit; a point extraction unit 13 for extracting a start point, a via-point and a destination point of the travel route from the peripheral map information stored in the peripheral map storage unit; and an output unit for outputting the start point, the via-point and the destination point extracted by the point extraction unit, to a navigation device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
