Abstract:
To provide a management system and a control method for easily grasping the security response status of an MFP and a monitoring device.SOLUTION: A management server 102 is used to manage the security response status for an MFP 101 and a monitoring device 103. In the management server 102, a device information receiving unit 322 receives device information generated by device information generating units 312 and 333 of the MFP 101 and the monitoring device 103. A compatible model list storage unit 325 stores the update status of each event item for each type of the MFP 101 and the monitoring device 103. A response-requiring client list creation unit 326 compares, for each event item, the device information received by the device information receiving unit 322 with the update status stored in the compatible model list storage unit 325. Then, the response-requiring client list creation unit 326 determines response requiring event items for each of the MFP 101 and the monitoring device 103, and creates a response-requiring client list based on determination results.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
