Abstract:
To suppress automatic acceleration of a vehicle according to temporary drop of a recognition condition of a vehicle to be tracked, without cancelling the execution of inter-vehicle distance control.SOLUTION: A control device executes the following inter-vehicle distance control. In the case where a vehicle to be tracked is not recognized and an acceleration prohibition signal is not inputted in the control device, a vehicle is controlled so as to travel at a set speed. In the case where the vehicle to be tracked is not recognized and the acceleration prohibition signal is inputted in the control device, the vehicle is controlled so as to travel at the speed immediately before the acceleration prohibition signal is inputted or slower. In the case where the vehicle to be tracked is not recognized and the acceleration prohibition signal is inputted in the control device, when the acceleration prohibition signal or an operation signal of an accelerator pedal is further inputted in the control device, the vehicle is controlled so as to travel at the set speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
