Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the job time by designing three kinds of orthogonal screens with a different screen angle in a space frequency region, generating them automatically on an image area and applying the generated screen for a color scanner or a printer or the like. CONSTITUTION:A unit constant decision means 101 receives and inputted gradation number 10 and provides the output of a unit constant 108, and a main dot size decision means 102 outputs a 1st square grating 109 and a 2nd square grating 110. A 1st sub-dot generating means 103 generates an initial dot pattern 111 and a 1st sub-dot identification pattern 112 and provides the output of them. A 1st threshold level optimizing means 104 generates a dot pattern 115 having a screen angle and provides an output. A mirror face inversion means 105 provides the output of a dot pattern with +theta, -theta screen angle. A 2nd sub-dot generating means 106 provides the output of a 2nd initial dot pattern 113 and a sub-dot identification pattern 114 and a 2nd threshold level optimizing means 107 provides the output of a dot pattern 14 with a screen angle of 45 deg..
