Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the subject fiber, excellent in electric conductivity and homogeneity and useful for medical applications, etc., by introducing a liquid prepared by mixing and melting a synthetic resin and Pt, etc., therein into the sheath side of a sheath-core type conjugate spinneret and introducing a molten synthetic resin into the core side. CONSTITUTION:A liquid 3 prepared by mixing chips of a synthetic resin such as a polyester with any staple-like filler of Pt, Ti, Ta and alloys thereof and melting the resultant mixture is introduced into a liquid inlet 2 on the sheath side of a sheath-core type conjugate spinneret 1 and a molten synthetic resin 5 such as a polyester is introduced into an inlet 4 on the core side. Both liquids are discharged from liquid discharge ports 6 and 7 connecting to the tips of the respective liquid inlets 2 and 4, spun and drawn to afford the objective fiber. Furthermore, the aforementioned fiber is woven to prepare a fabric, which is subsequently coated with a silicone resin to provide an electrically conductive fabric for imbedding in bodies.
