Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a water storage tank having an excellent stability in strength and a high degree of freedom capable of providing a building site for effective utilization for construction. SOLUTION: A water storage tank 1 is constituted with an assembly of square hollow columnar compartments 3 built over a foundation concrete. In this case, the tank basically comprises a corner column 5 to be erected at each corner of the storage water tank to be built, a first intermediate column 6 to be erected at a required position between two neighboring corner columns, and a second intermediate column 7 to be erected at a required position in a space surrounded by a corner columns. And each column is erected by locating it at the intersection between grid points. Also, joint plane portions of opposite columns are covered with a wall plate 9, and the top end of the compartments is closed with lid plates 10.
