Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle charging connector which has a high reliability of optical communication even in an easily contaminating environment. SOLUTION: A rotary shutter 40 provided on a power supply side housing is turned by a cam mechanism consisting of a cam pin 43 and a cam hole 46 in accordance with sliding. On the other hand, a coupling hole 94 is provided on rotary shutter 90 provided on a receiving side housing and, if the tip of the cam pin 43 is inserted into the coupling hole 94, both the rotary shutters 40 and 90 are linked with each other to be turned integrally. With this constitution, the receiving side housing has a simple construction which does not include a cam mechanism (a cam pin 43 and a cam hole 46).
