Title:
金属超微粒子担持光触媒及びその製造方法
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3601752
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photocatalytic substance composed of titanium dioxide wherein a particle size of supported metal superfine particles is a nano-scale and increased in photocatalytic efficiency. SOLUTION: A particle size of metal superfine particles is set to a range capable of markedly developing quantum size effect and an average particle size of metal superfine particles is numerically set to a range of 1-10nm. Hydrophobic colloid of an organometal complex and photocatalyst particles are mixed in a hydrophilic solvent to bond hydrophobic colloid on the surfaces of a photocatalyst particles and, after this mixed soln. is dried, the residue is baked to prepare a metal ultrafine particle supported photocatalyst. A colloid soln. of an organometal compd. and a photocatalyst powder are sprayed in a mutually opposed state to bond a large number of organometal compd. colloid on the surfaces of photocatalyst powdery particles and these colloid bonded particles are heat-treated on the way of falling to strongly support metal superfine particles on the surfaces of photocatalyst particles to continuously produce a metal superfine particle supported photocatalyst.
