To provide an apparatus for detecting wire tension for reducing a load on a worker, preventing setting mistakes of tension, and improving the availability factor of the apparatus.
The wire tension detecting apparatus is provided with a tension arm 1 having one end supported rotation-freely; a pulley 2 rotation-freely mounted to the other end of the arm 1 for guiding a wire 13 during travel; a means 3 mounted to the arm 1 for detecting the rotational angle of the arm 1; a hook member 4 mounted to the other end of the arm 1 so as to form a prescribed angle with respect to the arm 1; a distortion gauge 5; a spring 6 mounted between the distortion gauge 5 and the hook member 4; a fixed plate slide unit 8 of the distortion gauge 5; feed means 9 and 10 for vertically driving the slide unit 8; and a control means 11, capable of controlling the movement of the feeding means. The feed means are moved by a prescribed amount, by inputting conditions such as the wire diameter of the wire to the control means 11, arm tension is adjusted so as to adapt to the wire diameter of the wire etc.
