Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimum gradation correction characteristic without suppressing the gradation correction characteristic even if a dynamic range is low. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 4 as a gradation correction characteristic calculating means changes the gradation correction characteristic and outputs it from a gradation correction means 5 by the dynamic range of an input signal obtained from a dynamic range detecting means such as a peak detecting circuit 2, for example, and by information of a histogram detecting means 3 showing the appearing frequency of the signal.
