Abstract:
A projection-type display apparatus includes an on-screen-display-menu generating section (4) for generating image data corresponding to an on-screen-display menu, an image synthesizing section (3) for synthesizing image data for projection sent from an image source (1, 2) and the image data representing the on-screen-display menu; and an image-distortion compensation section (5) for applying image-distortion compensation processing used to reduce the distortion of the projected image caused when an image is projected in an inclined direction against a screen, to the image data synthesized by the image synthesizing means.
