PURPOSE: To simultaneously allow plural persons to look at a recording/ reproducing image without a monitor television, the video tape recorder with built-in camera for looking at the recording/reproducing image displayed on a cathode ray tube in a view finder at a visual point.

CONSTITUTION: An image displayed on a cathode ray tube in a view finder 2 is allowed to form a normal image 12 on a projection plate 8 placed in the outside by a lens 4 and an optical system block 11 provided with a lens 10 and a focusing means, by which plural persons can look simultaneously at the image without a monitor television set.
