Abstract:
The screw has a tubular-form thread section with a cone point (3, 7) at its two ends, respectively. The thread section comprises a bone thread (22) on its outer wall. Wall of the thread section includes a set of recesses (21). A one-piece bone screw-free section is provided adjacent to one of the ends of the thread section. A screw-in tool engaging medium and/or a fixing unit fastening medium is provided at an end of a bone thread free section that is opposite to the cone point. Axial length of the bone screw-free section is selected independent of the place of installation of the screw. An independent claim is also included for a bone fixation device with a bone screw.
