To disassemble a fuel cell by securely cut the inner peripheral part or its vicinity of a sealing layer of the fuel cell.
A fuel cell disassembling apparatus 20 is an apparatus for disassembling the fuel cell 10 in which a pair of separators 6, 7 hold both faces of a MEA 2 therebetween, the sealing layer 8 being formed on the periphery of the MEA 2. The apparatus 20 is equipped with a table 32 on which the disassembling work of the fuel cell 10 is carried out, a positioning member 40 which positions and fixes the fuel cell 10, and a cutting member 50 which cuts the inner peripheral part 8a of the sealing layer 8 of the fuel cell 10 fixed by the positioning member 40. The fuel cell disassembling apparatus 20 can more securely cut the inner periphery 8a of the sealing layer 8 of the fuel cell 10 comparing to, for example, a case where work is done by grasping the fuel cell 10.
