To provide the control device of a hybrid vehicle capable of achieving both the protection of a second clutch in a stall vehicle-stop state and the suppression of the sliding-down of a vehicle.
This control device of a hybrid vehicle is provided with: an engine E; a motor generator MG; a first clutch CL1 which is interposed between the engine E and the motor generator MG to perform connection and disconnection between the engine E and the motor generator MG; a second clutch CL2 which is interposed between the motor generator MG and driving wheels RR and RL to perform connection and disconnection between the motor generator MG and the driving wheels RR and RL; a temperature sensor 10a which detects the temperature of the second clutch CL2; a stall vehicle-stop state determination part 401 which determines a stall vehicle-stop state in which a driver adjusts a gas pedal on an upslope road to maintain a vehicle stop state; and a clutch protection control part 402 which tightens both the first clutch CL1 and the second clutch CL2, when it is determined that the vehicle is in the stall vehicle-stop state and when the temperature of the second clutch CL2 is equal to or more than a prescribed temperature.
