Abstract:

To provide a compound which can relatively easily inject/transport electrons, and to provide a light-emitting material using the same.

The (thiophene/phenylene) cooligomer is represented by the general formula (1) [(n) is 1 to 4; (p) is 1 to 6]. The light-emitting material contains the same. The method for producing the (thiophene/phenylene) cooligomer comprises reacting an aromatic zinc compound represented by the general formula (2) [(n) is 1 to 4; X1and X2are each a halogen atom] with a compound represented by the general formula (3) [(p) is 1 to 6; X3is a halogen atom] in the presence of a metal catalyst.
