Abstract:
A terminal fitting comprising: an electrical contact portion including a bottom wall, a joining wall continuing to the bottom wall, and a top wall continuing to the joining wall, and formed integrally of a single conductive plate; an insulating member made of insulating material and including a to-be-received portion accommodated in the electrical contact portion and an to be-exposed portion configured to be exposed to an outside via an end face of the electrical contact portion; and a securing engagement portion provided on the electrical contact portion and adapted to be brought into fitting engagement with the insulating member,
wherein the to-be-received portion is positioned between the top wall and the bottom wall, the joining wall resides in contact with the outer surface of the to-be-received portion, and the securing engagement portion is brought into fitting with the engagement with the to-be-received portion.
