To provide a collector for a fuel battery capable of solving the problem that, since the resistance of a collector or an electrolyte layer is partially set high from the beginning in a conventional method of uniforming a temperature distribution of the fuel battery, fuel battery performance deteriorates and only a specified temperature distribution in the battery is available.
The collector for a fuel battery is arranged between a fuel battery cell C and a separator plate S to electrically connect both, and is provided with a movable collector member 1 of a plate spring shape. The movable collector member 1 has a free end, which is either a fuel battery cell C side or a separator plate S side and allows free contact and separation, and a fixed end of the other end, and includes function portions 2A and 2B made of materials having thermal expansion coefficients different from that of the member body and generating actions of contact and separation of the free end in response to a temperature change. Various temperature distributions generated in the fuel battery can be available without deterioration of initial battery performance by changing the resistance of the movable collector member 1 in response to a temperature rise in the fuel battery.
