Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably start a monitoring microcomputer in a normal operation mode along with a control microcomputer when the control microcomputer is started in a normal operation mode.SOLUTION: In addition to a VOM signal from a power IC 44 for powering a control microcomputer 12, a run pulse signal periodically output from the control microcomputer 12 while the control microcomputer 12 operates in a normal operation mode is used for recovering a monitoring microcomputer 14 from a low power consumption mode to a normal operation mode. Even if an anomaly occurs in either of input paths to the monitoring microcomputer 14 for the VOM signal and the run pulse signal, the monitoring microcomputer 14 can be operated in the normal operation mode as the control microcomputer 12 is operationally started in the normal operation mode.
