Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a fuse element capable of preventing sulfidation corrosion of the fuse element for a protection element and capable of shortening melting time even when a metal structure material is left in a thick film state, and to provide the protection element using the fuse element.SOLUTION: A fuse element 10 includes: an intermediate structure material 11 composed of a solid metal to be diffused or to be easily dissolved to a metal; a coating material 12 composed of a soluble metal and applied at least to one face of the intermediate structure material; and a joint material 13 composed of a soluble metal and applied to the other face of the intermediate structure material. The intermediate structure material has a first melting temperature exceeding a joint work temperature, the coating material has a second melting temperature lower than the melting temperature of the intermediate structure material and the joint material has a third melting temperature allowing melting at the joint work temperature and lower than the second melting temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
