Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve diagnostic accuracy when diagnosing an exhaust emission control system having an SCR filter to determine whether the system is broken.SOLUTION: When an NOx elimination rate of an SCR filter calculated by using a detection value obtained by an NOx sensor provided downstream of the SCR filter is equal to or lower than a prescribed determination elimination rate, a determination that an exhaust emission control system is broken is made. At this time, an increment of a differential pressure conversion value per unit increment of filter PM accumulation amount is defined as a differential pressure change rate. If the differential pressure change rate at time when the detection value obtained by the NOx sensor and used for calculation of the NOx elimination rate is detected is a prescribed threshold value or higher, the abnormality diagnosis is not made.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
