PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a rotor which securely holds permanent magnets with a rotor core, and to provide the rotor.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a rotor includes the steps of: arranging permanent magnets 31 on an outer periphery of a rotor core 21; providing a sleeve 41 containing a thermosetting resin on the outer periphery of the rotor core 21 so as to cover the permanent magnets 31; and heating the thermosetting resin while cooling the rotor core 21 and thereby holding the permanent magnets 31 on the rotor core 21 with the sleeve 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
