Abstract:
A large inflation thickness is achieved and an occupant-facing surface when the airbag is fully inflated assumes a nearly flat shape over a wide range. The driver's seat airbag 1 comprises a front panel 2 and a rear panel 3 that are stitched together. The rear panel 3 is provided with vertical and horizontal tuck portions 11 to 14. The tuck portions 11, 12 are located on the right half side and the left half side of the rear panel 3 and the tuck portions 13, 14 are located on the upper half side and the lower half side of the rear panel 3. The tuck portions 11, 12 are formed by folding the right half side and the left half side of the rear panel 3 along valley fold lines 11a, 12a and mountain fold lines 11b, 12b. The tuck portions 13, 14 are formed by folding the upper half side and the lower half side of the rear panel 3 along valley fold lines 13a, 14a and mountain fold lines 13b, 14b.
