Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit for a saddle type vehicle including a kick starter for reducing a weight of a transmission case cover to make a light-weight of an entire power unit while assuring rigidity for supporting a kick shaft and capable of reducing cost.SOLUTION: A transmission case cover 30 is made of resin. Metallic supporting members 100, 200 formed in separate manner from the transmission case cover 30 to support a kick shaft 10 in a pivot-like manner are arranged in a belt chamber 70 and fastened to a metallic transmission case 21b so as to reduce a weight of a transmission case cover to make a light-weight of an entire power unit for a saddle type vehicle including a kick starter while assuring rigidity for supporting a kick shaft and capable of reducing cost.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
