Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell device capable of reducing thermal effect of a catalyst combustor on a module case, while furthermore capable of cooling down the catalyst combustor rapidly upon shutdown.SOLUTION: A solid oxide fuel cell device includes a module case 8 for housing a fuel cell unit 12, a combustion section 18 for generating exhaust gas by combusting off-gas from the fuel cell unit 12, a reformer 120 for reforming a material gas by heating with the exhaust gas and generating fuel gas, and a catalyst combustor 200 provided on the outside of the module case 8, and oxidizing unburned gas contained in the exhaust gas. The catalyst combustor 200 includes a honeycomb combustion catalyst 206, in which multiple internal flow paths extending in the horizontal direction and distributing exhaust gas are formed, and that extends in the direction where the exhaust gas distributes. The catalyst combustor 200 is located above the reformer 120.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
