Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve that satisfactorily functions while preventing control hunting.SOLUTION: An expansion valve of one aspect comprises: a body 2 having a second passage 14 through which a refrigerant returned from an evaporator passes, and a mounting hole 50 communicating with the second passage 14; a power element 3 attached to the body 2 to close the mounting hole 50; a shaft 33 transmitting driving force of the power element 3 to a valve element 18; and a plate 31 partially blocking a communication passage 54 that connects an open space S2 and the second passage 14, to regulate inflow of the refrigerant from the second passage 14 into the open space S2. In the plate 31, concerning the opening area of the communication passage 54, the opening area on the upstream side of the axis of the shaft 33 is set larger than the opening area on the downstream side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
