Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a splitter with which it is possible to switch the right to operate a touch panel, irrespective of the communication control system of the touch panel.SOLUTION: A splitter 32 comprises: a switch 58 which accepts as input an indication for enabling operation on one of touch panel monitors 33, 34; analog switches 42, 43 for enabling operation on one of the touch panel monitors 33, 34 in accordance with an indication from the switch 58; control select switches 44, 45, connected to the analog switches 42, 43, for switching an RTS signal and a DTR signal for establishing communication between the touch panel monitors 33, 34 and a server 31 to make these signals pass or turn steadily on; and a main microcomputer 48 for controlling the switching operation of the control select switches 44, 45 when no data signal is inputted from the touch panel monitor whose operation is not enabled within a predetermined time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
