Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marine vessel steering system capable of preventing a propeller shaft and a bearing from being damaged when a marine vessel that is steered in a state that a propeller blade is exposed from a water surface turns.SOLUTION: When an exposure state detection unit 11 is detecting a state in which a propeller blade of a propeller 4 is exposed from a water surface more than a predetermined amount, and a turning direction detection unit 13 is detecting that a turning direction of a marine vessel is the same direction as the rotating direction of the propeller, an alarm signal generation unit 15 generates an alarm signal before an exposure amount of the propeller blade being detected by the exposure state detection unit 11, a rotation speed being detected by a rotation speed detection unit 12, and a steering angle being detected by a steering angle detection unit reach a condition that a bearing and a propeller shaft 1 are damaged by propeller force that presses the propeller shaft 1 downward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
