Abstract:
To provide a carbon monoxide stable isotope concentration device where the reduction of troubles at the starting up of the device and the shortening of a starting time can be achieved by the necessary minimum depletion processing capacity of a 18O depletion device and necessary minimum management.SOLUTION: A carbon monoxide stable isotope concentration device 100 comprises: a group of a plurality of cascade-connected distillation columns; a 18O depletion device 23 connected to the distillation column disposed at the downstream side end of the group of the distillation columns; a 18O depletion device gas introduction line 31 introducing carbon monoxide with a concentrated carbon monoxide stable isotope molecule containing 13C from the distillation column disposed at the downstream side end of the distillation column to the 18O depletion device; a product leading line 32 leading concentrated 13C16O from the 18O depletion device 23 as a product; and a 18O depletion device gas return line 33 returning carbon monoxide depleted of a carbon monoxide stable isotope molecule containing 18O from the 18O depletion device 23 to the distillation column disposed at the downstream side end of the group of the distillation columns.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
