Abstract:
To implement acquisition of an analysis result (data) capable of significantly contributing to improvement when analyzing a state of an air-fuel mixture in, for example, a cylinder by an LIF method.SOLUTION: An analysis method includes preparatory measurement and main measurement. In the preparatory measurement, a fuel including a fluorescent agent is injected above a throttle valve 11 from an auxiliary injector 15 to homogeneously mix the fuel and the fluorescent agent and generate a reference air-fuel mixture having a known air-fuel ratio, and the reference air-fuel mixture is caused to flow into a cylinder 4 and is imaged by a camera 3, so that an image having reference brightness throughout is obtained. Brightness in each part of an image in the main measurement is compared to the reference brightness to allow an air-fuel ratio in the part to be recognized. Since concentrations of the air-fuel mixture can be recognized as a distribution of absolute values of air-fuel ratios, an actual combustion state can be accurately recognized. As a result, countermeasures against knocking and the like can be taken accurately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
