Abstract:
To provide a method which can continuously analyze a state of an air-fuel mixture with high accuracy regardless of variation in intensity of a laser beam when analyzing the state of the air-fuel mixture in, for example, a cylinder by an LIF method.SOLUTION: An analyzer comprises: a cylinder 4 made of a transparent material as a measurement object (image capture object); a laser emitter 2 which emits a laser beam to the cylinder 4; a camera 3 which captures an image of the cylinder 4; and a reference member 18 which is located in the vicinity of the cylinder 4. The laser beam is emitted to the reference member 18 also. Images of the cylinder 4 and the reference member 18 are simultaneously captured by the camera 3. The reference member 18 emits light with brightness proportional to an intensity of the laser beam. Therefore, brightness of the image of the reference member 18 varies as the intensity of the laser beam varies. Brightness of the image of the cylinder 4 is corrected up or down in accordance with this variation to achieve a state resulting from performing many measurements with the same intensity of the laser beam. Thus, many captured images can be accurately compared to improve analysis accuracy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
