Abstract:
To protect a load side against overcurrent when a short circuit occurs in the load side.SOLUTION: A power supply device includes a bidirectional DC/DC converter having a first end to receive an input of power and a second end to output DC power, and having a capacitor provided between two terminals of the second end, a detection unit that detects a short circuit in an output destination of the DC power supplied from the second end, and a control unit that controls the bidirectional DC/DC converter to send power from the first end side to the second end side when the detection unit has not detected the short circuit, and that controls the bidirectional DC/DC converter to send power from the second end side to the first end side when the detection unit has detected the short circuit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
