PURPOSE: To provide a reactive monoazo dye which dyes cellulose fiber and a mixed fiber or mixed fabric of cellulose fiber and a polyester fiber red with excellent fastnesses to e.g., light, consisting of an azo compd. having a specified structure.
CONSTITUTION: The titled dye is formed from a compd. of formulaIwherein X is halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, phenyl, Y; Y is allyl, benzyl, hydroxyl, lower alkoxy, alkyl; R1, R2 are each H, cyano, hydroxyl, lower alkoxy, dialkylamino, alkyl, alkenyl, cyclohexyl, aryl, aralkyl; R1 and R2 of N R1 R2 form a five-membered or six-membered nitrogen-contg. heterocyclic ring when R1, R2 are combined together; the sum of carbon atoms of R1 and R2 is 18 or below. This compd. can be easily obtd. by reacting a compd. of formula II with a compd. of formula III in a solvent such as N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone.
