Abstract:
An image processing device (2) comprises: a data reduction unit (12) that reduces the gradation of image data (D11) for each pixel thereof, and generates gradation-reduced image data (D12); a temperature estimation unit (13) that estimates the temperature for each of a plurality of light emitting element units on the basis of an air temperature measurement value (Ta) and the gradation-reduced image data (D12); and a chromaticity/contrast inconsistency correction unit that, for each of the plurality of light emitting element units (40), corrects the image data (D11) on the basis of a temperature estimation value (Te) so as to compensate, using temperature, for the inconsistency in at least one of contrast and chromaticity. The temperature estimation unit (13) calculates the temperature estimation value (Te), which indicates the temperature of each of the plurality of light emitting element units, by using a trained neural network model formula that associates the gradation-reduced image data (D12), the air temperature measurement value (Ta), and the temperature of each of the plurality of light emitting element units. The parameter for the model formula is a value obtained by learning from the results of measuring input/output relationships of the model formula in advance.
