Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten the restoration time of an abnormal state by judging the abnormal state by a monitoring station when no transmission of a valid frame is present from a station from which a token is received when a non- communication state from the station is continued for a fixed time and omitting the pertinent station from a network map.
CONSTITUTION: At the monitoring station 11, token monitoring is performed by receiving the token to be broadcasted and the station holding the token at the present is recognized. In the fixed time corresponding to the time for transmitting the token from the recognized station to the next station, when the monitoring station 11 detects that the non-communication state is continued, it is discriminated that a network failure is generated and the token is retransmitted to the pertinent station by the monitoring station 11. Thereafter, when the valid frame is received, the monitoring station 11 considers that the delivery of the token is succeeded and returns to a token monitoring state.
