Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acidic gas adsorption and removal filter capable of exhibiting removal performance to be satisfied in a temperature and humidity range in a general life over a long time in terms of acidic gas adsorption and removal performance in a gas phase.SOLUTION: There is provided an acidic gas adsorption and removal filter which is a honeycomb structure filter, in which a mixture of one or more kinds of compounds selected from a group consisting of hydroxide containing an alkali metal, carbonate and hydrogen carbonate, active charcoal and manganese oxide is carried on a honeycomb carrier, with a ratio (weight ratio) of the total weight of the one or more kinds of compounds selected from a group consisting of hydroxide containing an alkali metal, carbonate and hydrogen carbonate and the active charcoal and the weight of manganese oxide, i.e., (total weight of one or more kinds of compounds selected from a group consisting of hydroxide containing an alkali metal, carbonate and hydrogen carbonate, and active charcoal)/(weight of manganese oxide)=0.4 to 10 and a BET specific surface area of the honeycomb structure filter of 50 to 310 m/cc.
