Title:
ADJUSTABLE MANDREL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3553732
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved extrusion die head capable of automatically adjusting the position of the die pin inside a die bush at a time of extrusion molding without performing the mechanism adjusting work to a head.
SOLUTION: A large number of warp parts are provided to the periphery of a mandrel so as to leave an interval in the circumferential direction and equipped with heaters 66, 70 so that the heaters 66, 70 opposed to each other in a diameter direction to form pairs. By changing the energizing times of respective pairs of the heaters, a difference is generated in the thermal expansion between the parts opposed to each other in the diameter direction of the warp parts and the position in the diameter direct of the die pin 48 inside a die bush 36 is adjusted to control the wall thickness of a parison 28. This adjustment can be easily achieved by a control unit on the basis of the input of an operator.
