Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the reformation of various kinds of electrolytic capacitors in a short time, using one kind of PTC thermistor, by compulsively cooling the PTC thermistor in the process of reformation of an electrolytic capacitor, and increasing a temporary current value.
SOLUTION: A jig A1 loaded with an electrolytic capacitor C to be aged is so constituted as to shift slowly at a fixed speed while being put on a conveyor 3 and applied DC voltage. Then, the jig A1 is cooled compulsively by a cooling means such as a fan 5 or the like, when it shifts into a cooling region 4. The degree of cooling of the PTC thermistor is decided by giving consideration to the resistance temperature coefficient of the thermistor, the kind of the electrolytic capacitor, the conditions of aging, etc. When the jig A passes the cooling region 4, the cooling of the PTC thermistor is finished. The cooling region 4 is decided so that the PTC thermistor may be cooled at proper time during the process of reformation.
