Abstract:
To provide an air bag device for an automobile capable of obtaining a desirable inflation passage in a wide range of temperature even if a common instrument panel is used.
Since a base part 22a of a hinge part 22 formed in a backing member 13 is formed in a intermediate part in a height direction of a mounting piece 18 of the backing member 13, the hinge part 22 is easily bent by the expansive force of an air bag to form the desirable inflation passage.
